The leaves are so brown and they get so twisted. I piled up lots of leaves and I threw them up into the sky. Some of the leaves are yellow. They lie on the green grass.

Leaves, leaves in the air. I saw them tumbling down from the trees. Trees take twenty years to grow. Leaves grow in the spring and summer.

Leaves are brown or orange or yellow when they fall on the ground. The yellow leaves might be off the kowhai tree. It sounds like the wind is taking the leaves off the branches. I saw some orange and brown leaves. They were fluttering down onto the ground.

The leaves float in the sky. They are fluttering and twirling. Leaves are all different colours. They fall off the trees in the winter. The trees lose their coat of leaves.

Rainbow fish reasons

After we made the rainbow fish we made a blurb on why we made rainbow fish and how it worked in with Aroha and this is what we wrote:
We read the book 'Rainbow fish'.
Rainbow fish learned that by sharing his shiny scales, he made friends and he felt good about himself.
We drew our own fish and used dye to show the pretty colours.
Rainbow fish showed Aroha.

Emily is proud of her fish.

The fat Rainbow Fish

One day we made Rainbow Fish. We drew the outside of our Rainbow Fish. Later on we dyed it green, purple and blue. Before we read the book Rainbow Fish and that's how we came up with the idea.
